QuickScale 3.6.8.1

If you are thinking ‘What the hell, what a bad version number’, I agreed but this version is a very very fast patch for QuickScale 3.6.8.

I added 1 single if statement to prevent a bug… a very stupid bug.

So, please download QuickScale 3.6.8.1 and everything will be okay!

My fault to release too soon… but I’m happy that I noticed the bug that fast!

QuickScale 3.6.8 is released

I’ve released QuickScale 3.6.8!

New in QuickScale 3.6.8 is the possibility to preserve EXIF data (= extra data about the picture in JPG-files). I’ve also fixed some bugs in the QuickScale Droplet.

QuickScale 3.6.8 is a free download for al registered users!

Download Leopard

There is also an older Tiger version available: download for Tiger

Finally support for EXIF data!

I’m happy to announce that QuickScale 3.6.8, the next release of QuickScale will have the possibility to keep the EXIF data :)

You can enable or disable this feature in the preferences pane.
Disabling this feature can be usefull because an image without EXIF data will be smaller in filesize as an image with EXIF data.
Some persons will have no interest in the EXIF data (so disable this feature), but other persons want to keep the EXIF data because it contains ‘use-full’ information.

Please note that only JPG-files can store EXIF data.

DropBox: Public beta

Since a few months, I use Dropbox.
A very nice idea/application that has the next main function:
You have a main folder on your computer (or multiple computers) and DropBox will sync this folder with a virtual folder on the internet.

I use it to share some files, like screencasts or images…

More information at Tuaw.com about the public beta and see at GetDropbox.com for more information about Dropbox.

QuickScale 3.6.7 is released

QuickScale 3.6.7 is released (Leopard Only).

Release notes:
[Fixed] Fixed a bug that caused a crash when you tried to scale a PDF with the CoreImage-engine.
[Feature] Updated the QuickScale Droplet to version 3.6.7

Download for Leopard
Download for Tiger

Please notice that this is a free update for all registered users :)

You can buy a serial for QuickScale for only 9.90 Euro (~ 14.5 USD) at the store.

QuickScale 3.6.7 – almost online

Today, I’ve received a mail from a QuickScale user.
The mail was send by CMCrashReporter and gave me a lot of use-full information.

When you dragged a PDF into QuickScale and you will try to scale this image with the CoreImage engine, using the ‘Stretch’, ‘Crop’, ‘Mixed’ or ‘Box’ methode, QuickScale will try to scale a size with a width/height of 0/0 with result in a crash… because you can’t scale a size with size 0/0…

QuickScale 3.6.7 fixes this bug. It isn’t possible (yet) to scale PDF files (unless you use the default engine) but QuickScale will show a better error in place of crashing…

Note: This update is free for all registered users!

I’ll release QuickScale 3.6.7 tomorrow! (tuesday 2 september 2008)

Mail-problems solved

Just want to let you know that the mail problems are solved.

30 and 31 August, there was a little problem with the mails send by my server. PHP added every mail to a queue and the customers didn’t receive any mail with their serial number… I’ve send a mail to every person this weekend manually to be sure that they received their serial-number.

I just got a message from my webhoster that there was a problem with mails send by PHP and that they have a delay…
Normally, everyone should received their mail right now.

I noticed the problem because I didn’t receive a ’serial completed’ mail (for my account) but I did receive a mail from PayPal…

The problems are solver and I hope that it wasn’t a problem for anyone!
