QuickScale 3.6.4 release date

Hi

QuickScale 3.6.4 will be released on 19 july 2008.

QuickScale 3.6.4 has some new features and fixes some little bugs.
A new feature is for example the possibility to get a preview from the selected image with the new size, file-type settings and the file-size… (For example: The differences (like file-size, quality, …) between JPG full quality and 3/4 quality on a specific image).

QuickScale on MacApper

Yahoo, QuickScale is reviewed on MacApper.
Of course, they did ask permission… but I need to confess that I like the review :D

You can read the article at this page.

There was a little fault in the article: “If you like choosing how many digits your index number will be, then with QuickScale you are out of luck, because it does not allow you to do this.”. You need to know that this is possible, if you click on the triangle at the right side of the index-token (in the Custom Name – Editor).

The article is going about some good aspects of QuickScale but also about the bad side of QuickScale,
and that can be very interesting for a developer.

So, If you have some suggestions for QuickScale, please e-mail me at info@codingmammoth.com or use the feedback form :) Or if you want to review QuickScale on your own site, just send an email to request a test-serial.

[Feature] ‘Preview Export’

In the previous post, I spook about a new feature in QuickScale.
But why shouldn’t I create a movie to show you this cool feature.

Okay, I’ve created a short screencast to show you this cool feature :)

What about QuickScale 3.6.4

There will be some new features in QuickScale 3.6.4 and I want to share one of this features right now.

A new feature of QuickScale is the ability to have a preview of an exported image.
For example, you import some images, you set a size and a watermark but pixels are just numbers… you don’t see how the image will be exactly, you can’t see the different between JPG low quality vs high quality or vs tiff/png… the only way to see this is just to export the images and to open it with ‘Preview.app’ for example.

In QuickScale 3.6.4, you will be able to get a preview of the export. This feature export one image and show this in a new view-window. With this feature, you will be able to see how your watermark will be exactly and what the new size will be of your image. It is also use-full because you can look at the differences between 2 ‘preview-export’-images with for example a difference quality.

I hope you like it!
QuickScale 3.6.4 will be released next week :)
