Serial Retriever

Sometimes, I got a mail with the simple question: “I didn’t receive my serial, can you send me my serial?”

It can be possible that our mail with the serial is lost into a world wide web, or simple is stuck at your SPAM-filter.

A time ago, I’ve introduced a ‘Serial Retriever’ script on this website.
You can find the ‘Serial Retriever’ by following the link at the contact or store page. Both links will point you to this page.

At this page, you need to enter 3 values:
a) Your name and email-address. This data should be the same as the data you entered when you ordered the serial.

b) The item number.
When you order a serial, you have 2 possible ways to pay.
-> Via PayPal: You can find the item number on the PayPal transaction
-> Via an international bank transfer: Take the 4 last digits of the message.

When you enter this data into the Serial Retriever, you’ll be able to see your serial for QuickScale.

New website

I’ve just released my new website!
I hope you like it as much I do :)

QuickScale 3.8 will be released next week.

QuickScale 3.6.6

The fastest update ever!

Okay, it started very strange… Normally, I receive about 25-50 mails per day. But yesterday, I only received 2 little mails… strange!

Monday, I’ve released QuickScale 3.6.5 (and I will blog some more information about that release soon). QuickScale 3.6.5 was a release that solved some memory leaks but it seems that I was to soon with giving memory free. As result, the ‘register’ panel in QuickScale disappeared within a second (because I gave that memory free…). Okay, it is my fault but it is also the fault about a tool I will talk soon at my blog.
Some users had send me an e-mail with the problem that they couldn’t activate their QuickScale-version…

The problem was that I received this mails today, and not yesterday (when they are send)… frustrating… as soon I received the mails, I solved the problem and QuickScale 3.6.6 is released.

My mails (@CodingMammoth.com) are handled by Gmail (Google Apps) and it is strange that their was a delay of one day on my mails…

It was a strange day, but finally, I’m receiving back some mails :)

My excuses for the problems that some of you couldn’t activate their QuickScale!

Update: Serial system

Okay, it is maybe just a little unimportant detail, but I’ve updated the store.
I’ve updated the generator of the serials.

In the past: The serials had the follow syntax:

Application-9 digits -checknumbers

For example:
QuickScale-D5KfE92Lk-54

This is very nice, but also very ugly! It is very difficult to see the difference between a 0 and o and a O etc. The new serial system, that works a little week right now (as beta and now full operational) generate serials with the follow syntax:
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

And x is a number between 0 and 9,
for example
1234-5678-1357-5780

The new syntax is 100% good for everyone.

Applications in the future will have 4 text-boxes, just to add those 4 x 4 numbers,
but the current QuickScale will keep the old serial window.
All the old serials are still active in the new QuickScale!

Note: both serials are fictive and don’t work in QuickScale, I hope.

New payment system

Hi folks,

I know, it is a little bit boring here.. no much activity.
But behind the screens, I’m working on QuickScale 3.6 and a lot of other stuff.

Tomorrow, I will post a little text about a new feature of QuickScale 3.6 but I also want to share with you that there is a new Payment system.
If you want to purchase a serial, you should have a PayPal account or a CreditCard.
Not everybody has a PayPal-account or a CreditCard, but everybody has a bankaccount.

Today, you can pay with a simple (international) bank-transfer.
After you request a serial, you need to transfer the money to an IBAN number (and SWIFT/BIC-code) and after a few days (yes… the slow old way) you should receive a mail with your serial.

Very secure, because you don’t need to enter any personal data (like CreditCard information).
