CodingMammoth is looking for a freelancer who can create one or two short animated movies.
The movies should explain the workflow and features of Semonto.
Drawn movies are preferred, but other styles are also welcome.
As example of the wanted movie, you can watch the intro movie of Dropbox or this video.
Interested? Do you think you can help us? Send your portfolio, questions and more to info@codingmammoth.com.
Oh and maybe important: We dislike Flash, so the movie should be in a ‘real’ format like MP4,mov,… or anything that can be played on iOS.

We have moved CMCrashReporter to Google Code.
CMCrashReporter is a free and open-source framework written in Cocoa which developers can stick in their applications to allow the user to easily send a crashlog back to the developer.
Before, CMCrashReporter was available as a small zip-file from our server. When people suggested features, or reported issues, we made the changes and we uploaded a new zip-file to our server.
Today, we moved the source-code to Google Code. The code is now hosted by Google and accessible by everyone via a SVN-client, or via the website.
Everyone can download the code and can also submit changes

January 6th, Apple released the Mac App Store. A store, like the one we know for iPhone and iPad, but filled with Mac applications instead. you buy apps in the same way; simply click on ‘buy’ and the Mac App Store will install the application for you. When an update is available, you will be able to download them via the Mac App Store as well.
QuickScale is available at the Mac App Store for just 9.99 Euro.
What if you already bought QuickScale?
The Mac App Store is something on its own. We can’t transform our sales and licenses into the Mac App Store. This means, the Mac App Store won’t know that you bought QuickScale in the past and shows a buy-link, suggesting you to buy QuickScale.
When you bought QuickScale on our store, we promised you will be able to update to the latest version of QuickScale 3. We will keep our promise and you will be able to download the latest version of QuickScale 3, but not through the Mac App Store. When QuickScale gets an update, it will alert you and you can download the updates like you’re used it. If you want to get updates through the Mac App Store, you will need to buy QuickScale again through the Mac App Store.
A question I’ve heard a few times ‘Why dooes the Mac App Store say ‘installed’ on some applications I bought previously, but why doesn’t this work for QuickScale’?
If the developer used the same bundle-id (just a unique key) for the apps he sold via his website and via the Mac App Store, the Mac App Store will recognize this application and will show ‘installed’ (for example: Apples’ iLife applications, Transmit from Panic etc).
But note this: even though it says ‘installed’, it won’t deliver any updates through the Mac App Sotre since you didn’t buy it via the Mac App Store.
You can check which applications you bought via the Mac App store by clicking on the ‘purchases’ tab. Only the apps that are listed there will be updated through the Mac App Store. We have used a different bundle-id for QuickScale so that’s why it doesn’t show up as ‘Installed’.
We have closed our own store and the only way to buy QuickScale now is via the Mac App Store. The reason for this is very simple: we prefer one store to buy QuickScale and one place to get the updates. If you already have a license for QuickScale, you will still be able to use the current version of QuickScale in the future, so you don’t need to repurchase QuickScale.
We hope this post will clear up some confusing issues about the Mac App Store

QuickScale 3.8.6 is released!
Release notes:
- Fixed a crash which could occur when exporting images
- Updated CMCrashReporter (fixes some small issues)

Important remark: Since the updater of QuickScale is broken in QuickScale 3.8.4 and QuickScale 3.8.5, you will need to update manually by downloading QuickScale 3.8.6 and moving it to the applications folder.
QuickScale 3.8.6 is a free download for all registered users!
Download Leopard and Snow Leopard
There is also an older Tiger version available: download for Tiger
